Pedestrian Struck In Town Of Poughkeepsie

Part of Violet Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie was closed late Wednesday afternoon due to a serious crash in which a pedestrian was struck, according to police.

The crash occurred around 3:30 Wednesday near 347 Violet Avenue, police said.

Violet Avenue was closed from Cottage Street to Coby Terrace to enable investigators to reconstruct the crash, according to town police.
