Darien J Totten, 49, and Harold D McKinnies, 60, were charged Monday with felony grand larceny after one of the men came back into the store and stole a Dewalt power tool while the police were inside the store reviewing video surveillance from the first theft, said Lt. Robert Benson.

Police then apprehended him a short distance from the store with the stolen tool. After an interview, police determined the two men were working together. In all, they stole more than $1,110.00 in power tools, Benson said.

Totten is being held at the Dutchess County Jail without bail, because of previous felony convictions. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday, police said.

McKinnies is being held at the Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bail bond. He is also scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
