Red Hook police officers discovered the crash after receiving 911 calls reporting a single car rollover crash on Feller-Newmark Road around 11:20 p.m., police said.

When officers arrived they found Nikko Garcia of Waterbury, Conn., had lost control of his 2015 Toyota, left the roadway, striking two trees and then rolling over and coming to rest on the roof of the car, police said.

Garcia as well as his passenger, a 27-year-old Connecticut man, sustained minor injuries in the crash but refused medical treatment, police added.

Police determined that Garcia was intoxicated and provided a breath test which resulted in a .16 percent blood alcohol content, twice the legal limit, police said.

He was charged with two counts of drunk driving, as well as multiple traffic infractions. He was processed and released to the custody of a family member with a future court date.
