RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Steven Walker, 36, of Erie, Pa., was arrested Oct. 9 by state police for second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana 5th, DWAI-Drug, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and several vehicle and traffic infractions.
During a commercial vehicle check on Route 199 in Rhinebeck, Walker's vehicle was stopped and a police search allegedly found about 51.5 grams of marijuana and a loaded Taurus 9mm pistol.
Walker did not have a permit to carry the pistol and it was not registered, police said.
Walker was arraigned in the Town of Rhinebeck Court and sent to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 secured bond.
