Following an investigation by the state Attorney's General's Office, an employee of the Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck was arrested for endangering a patient, according to the Rhinebeck Police.

Ronald J. Gordon, 49, of Lake Katrine, was arrested on Feb. 9, by Village of Rhinebeck Police as a result of an investigation by the Attorney's General's Office into the treatment of a patient, said Sgt. Peter Dunn.

Gordon was charged with felony endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person, felony falsifying business records and violation of health laws, Dunn said.

He was arraigned in the Town of Rhinebeck Justice Court and released on his own recognizance. Gordon is due to return to court on March 8.
