Emory S. Nesbitt of Poughkeepsie was taken into custody around 4 p.m. Wednesday following a raid by members of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the task force.

Tasciotti said the task force received the warrant based on complaints and information regarding drug sales taking place at that location.

During the search of the residence several rifles, assault weapons, a handgun, approximately 4 ounces of cocaine, as well as 15 pounds of marijuana, and $2,000 cash were seized, Tasciotti said.

Nesbitt was charged criminal possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of an assault weapon.

He is being held at the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond. More arrests are pending, Tasciotti said.

The task force was assisted by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Emergency Service Unit team.
