Meagan McCarvill, 23, was stopped by a deputy on a STOP-DWI patrol in her 2016 Volkswagon on Mansion Street in Poughkeepsie for traffic violations that occurred on Civic Center Plaza, said Lt. Frank LaMonica Jr.

The deputy sheriff determined that McCarvill was intoxicated and she was arrested and charged with felony DWI because she had a previous DWI-related conviction within the last 10 years, which was on Sept. 25, 2015, in the City of Poughkeepsie, LaMonica said.

She was also charged with operating a motor vehicle without a court-ordered ignition interlock device, a misdemeanor as well as other traffic infractions.

McCarvill was released and is scheduled to appear in City of Poughkeepsie Court on March 21.
