Hyde Park Man Kicks Victim's Car In Dispute

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Hyde Park police have arrested a 32-year-old town resident on a criminal mischief charge, authorities said.

The arrest came about when police were dispatched to Haviland Road after an incident was reported Thursday, according to officials.

Patrols interviewed the victim, who said he had a disagreement with the suspect, identified as Mark A. Bocchino; during the course of the incident, Bocchino allegedly went over to the victim’s car and began kicking it, police report.

Bocchino was located and taken into custody, according to officials.

He has been charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a class E felony, police report.

The defendant was processed and released on an appearance ticket, according to officials.

He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday, Sept. 1, police report.
