DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - A fourth and what police say is final arrest has been made in connection to a violent incident on Wednesday in which a Rhinebeck man suffered serious injuries after he was beaten by three men with baseball bats.

Charges against 63-year-old Vincent F. Neglia Sr. of Saugerties were announced on Saturday morning by the Saugerties Police Department. He was charged with one count of felony criminal liability for conduct of another and assault in the first degree.

Vincent Neglia Sr. was taken into custody by Saugerties Police Detectives, arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in Lieu of $5,000 cash bail.

The incident occurred around 5:11 p.m., when police responded to a 911 call at 20 Mayfield Estates off Route 32 in Saugerties for a report of a man being chased by men with baseball bats, said Chief Joseph Sinagra.

When officers arrived they found the 32-year-old victim lying on the ground semi- conscious, bleeding from both his face and head, Sinagra said.

The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics from DIAZ Ambulance and then airlifted by helicopter from the scene to the MidHudson Regional Hospital where he went under further treatment for his injuries, Sinagra said.

Saugerties Police detectives and uniform officers conducted an investigation and were able to obtain a video of the attack.

From the video, they were able to identify the attackers as, Vincent Neglia, 31; Russel Neglia, 22, and Travis Gonzalez, 22, all of Saugerties, Sinagra said.

Russell Neglia and Gonzalez were charged with the felonies of robbery, gang assault, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. Vincent Neglia was charged with felony robbery, gang assault, and assault.

All three were arraigned in the Town of Saugerties Court, bail was set at $25,000 each. All three defendants posted bail at arraignment.

The Court issued an order of protection on behalf of the victim.
