Dutchess Man, 21, Charged With Dealing Heroin

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - A multi-agency law enforcement effort has led to the arrest of a Duchess County man who was wanted for allegedly selling heroin.

On Thursday, April 20, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department’s Neighborhood Recovery and Emergency Services Units conducted a search warrant at a Gray Street apartment in Poughkeepsie.

According to state police, the warrant was attained for 21-year-old Jaquan Dancy, who was wanted on a Dutchess County Criminal Court arrest warrant for felony charges of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance.

Dancy was arraigned in Dutchess County Court and was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
