The driver escaped without injury, but very slippery conditions caused the dump truck to roll over, and then ignited into flames, fire officials said.

One firefighter was injured during the incident when he fell on snow covered ice while stretching hoses, fire officials said.

He was transported to Northern Dutchess Hospital with injuries to his leg, they added.

Firefighters were able to douse the flames and right the dump truck with help from construction personnel using an excavator, fire officials said.

The dump truck's engine area and cab were destroyed by the fire.

Rhinebeck police and Northern Dutchess Paramedics assisted at the scene.
