Carmel Man, 22, Nabbed For Selling Illegal Prescription Drugs In Putnam

A 22-year-old Carmel man was arrested in Putnam County after selling pills to an undercover deputy, according to Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr.

Jamie J. Mclean was arrested Thursday, Jan. 11, by a deputy with the Narcotics Enforcement Unit after he developed information that Mclean was involved in the sale of prescription drugs, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

The deputy was able to make contact with Mclean and arrange for the purchase of prescription medication (Suboxone) on several occasions, the department said.

Mclean was charged with three counts each of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance.

He was arraigned before Justice Thomas Jacobellis of the Town of Carmel Court and remanded to Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 bail.
