Vincent G. Avallone, Jr., 70, Of Hyde Park

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Vincent G. Avallone, Jr., of Hyde Park, died on Sunday, March 26. He was 70.

Born on Jan. 23, 1947 in the Bronx, Avallone was the son of Vincent, Sr. and Theresa Robilotta Avallone. He worked as a financial consultant at Gilman Ciocia (Prime Capital Services) in Poughkeepsie until his retirement in 2009.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Natalie Avallone, and her spouse, Clare Flynn-Avallone, of Phoenix, daughter, Nicole Avallone, and her spouse, Rebecca Coleman, of Brooklyn, daughter, Nancy Avallone, of Grass Valley, daughter, Noreen Wishart, and her spouse, Randall, of Poughkeepsie; three grandchildren: Eleanor and Whitman Avallone, and Nerissa Wishart.

Calling hours will be from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 30 at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9 in Hyde Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 31 at Our Lady of The Rosary Chapel of St. Peter's Parish, 185 Hudson View Drive in Poughkeepsie. Burial will follow in the family plot at Union Cemetery in Hyde Park.

In lieu of flowers, Vincent's family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.
