Scott W. Day, 51, Of Hyde Park

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Scott W. Day, a lifelong resident of Hyde Park, died Tuesday, Feb. 2. He was 51.

He was a security guard for Metro-North Railroad. He also did some security work for the Dutchess County Fair.

He is survived by his parents, William and Lois Trowbridge Day; two sisters, Darlene S. Day-Bauer (William) and Karen Day, both of Hyde Park; a brother, Robert Bumpus (Mary) of Poughkeepsie; and nephews, Sean Bauer (Amanda) of Hopewell Junction, and Justin Bumpus of Poughkeepsie.

A period of visitation will take place from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Chaplain Barbara Robertson will officiate.

Burial will be in the family plot in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Staatsburg. For those who wish, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, 301 Manchester Road, Suite 105, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
