Nancy VanSteenburgh, 68, of Hyde Park

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Nancy VanSteenburgh, of Hyde Park, died on Saturday, Dec. 10. She was 68.

She was born on Dec. 23, 1947 in Poughkeepsie. She was the daughter of the late George & Jaqueline Montross. On Sept. 11, 1966, she married her husband, Joseph VanSteenburgh, who survives at home. 

VanSteenburgh assisted her husband with the family business, JoVan & Sons Heating and Plumbing, taking care of the Secretarial and Accounting needs for over 40 years, in addition to working a full-time job at Conklin Instrument Corporation, as a Manager for over 25 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Tracey VanSteenburgh-Matarazzo, and husband, Damien; son, Joseph VanSteenburgh, and wife, Kathy; sisters, Carole Montross and Barbara Curran; grandchildren, Alyssa & Giana of Staatsburg, and Kyle & Emma. Along with her parents, she was also predeceased by a son, John Joseph VanSteenburgh.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park. Burial services will be at the discretion of the family.
