Michael James Urbanak, 27, Of Kent, With Family Residing In Dutchess

Michael James Urbanak, a resident of Kent who leaves behind family throughout Dutchess County, died on Friday, May 26. He was 27 years old.

Michael was born on September 20, 1989 in Cold Spring, the son of Patricia Anne O'Flaherty and Paul James Urbanak. Michael worked as a roofer for Roofers Local 8 in Long Island City.

Michael is survived by his parents, father Paul James Urbanak and his wife, Amy Knapp of New Berlin,  and mother Patricia Anne Urbanak and her husband, Louis Bruno of Beacon; his fiancée, Erin Flaherty of Cold Spring; his brothers, Christopher Michael Urbanak of Poughkeepsie and Paul James Urbanak, Jr. of Rhinebeck; his sister, Megan Anne Urbanak of Beacon; his niece and nephew, Sophia and Nicholas; his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph Paul and Marion Mitchell Urbanak and his maternal grandparents, Patrick J. and Elvira O'Flaherty.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Peter T. and Patrick J. Halvey of Halvey Funeral Home, Inc.

The family will receive their friends on Wednesday, May 31 from 2 p.m. to 4 and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. A funeral service will be held at 8:30 p.m. with Pastor John Spring at the funeral home.
