Memorial Services Announced For Dutchess Car Crash Victim

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. --  Funeral services have been announced for Otto William Eisermann, Jr., 33, one of two men killed as the result of a car accident in Dover on Friday.

Eisermann, a lifelong area resident of Millerton, was killed along with his close friend Billyjack A. Hubert when the car he was driving was found submerged in a partially frozen pond on Weil Road in Dover.

A self-employed welder and fabricator, Eisermann was born on Jan. 15, 1983, in Carmel.

The son of Otto William and Theresa (Watson) Eisermann, Sr. of Millerton, Eisermann attended local area schools and was an avid outdoor enthusiast, a skilled hunter, and fisherman who loved four wheeling, old classic cars and had a great eye for antiques and collectible "junk". 

He could often be found roaming the backroads of Dutchess County with his beloved dogs, Oh Susanna and Chloe at his side looking for the next great find. 

He is survived by his wife Stephany (Mercadante) Eisermann, his two sons, Otto W. Eisermann III and Tyler R. Eisermann; two brothers, Kevin (Andreanna) Eisermann and John (Victoria Bousquet) Eisermann; three sisters, Theresa (Richard) Ball, Eileen (Scott) Wendover and Wendy (Joe Zeoli) Eisermann; his mother- and father-in-law, Magna and Richard W. Mercadante of Fort Meyers, Fla.; a brother and sister in law, Richard M. and Jessica Mercadante of Fort Meyers, Fla., and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and numerous friends. 

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Otto D. and Eileen F. Eisermann and Roy and Terry Watson; a nephew Jacob J. Stickle; a devoted friend, Billyjack A. Hubert and his dogs Oh Susanna and Chloe.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Dec. 30, from 4-8 p.m. at Faith Bible Chapel of Shekomeko, 222 Silver Mountain Road, Millerton. Reflections and eulogies will be held at 7:30 p.m. during visiting hours. All other services will be private.
