Marlene Guercio, 75, Of Rhinebeck

RHINEBECK, N.Y. — Marlene Guercio, 75, of Rhinebeck, died Oct. 19.

She is survived by sisters, Clara Cobey, and Grace Coratti.

Her sister, Rose Germano; and brothers, Joseph, Benny, Frank and John,  predeceased her.

She was born Oct. 12, 1941.

She enjoyed her work experience starting in her sister-in-law's (Helen Jean) Appeal Briefs Publishing office in Detroit. She later worked for Merrill Lynch, then with wonderful IBM executives in Poughkeepsie, East Fishkill and Kingston's product development labs. Upon retirement, she managed (part time) an American Spoons store in Rhinebeck for renowned Chef Larry Forgione and she became his #2 customer — second only to Williams & Sonoma.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Good Shepherd Church, 3 Mulberry St., Rhinebeck. Internment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie, next to her father.

Please no flowers. Donations are requested to the Oncology Care Center at Vassar Bros. Hospital, Reade Place, Poughkeepsie or The Thompson House (at NDH), Montgomery Street, Rhinebeck.
