HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Marlene Allen, 65, of Hyde Park, died Monday, June 20, 2016 at home.
She was born Aug. 2, 1950 in Provo, Utah, the daughter of the late Louis and the late Amelia (Syrotchen) Belcastro.
She was employed by IBM in Poughkeepsie. She was a local resident most of her life.
Allen enjoyed Christmas Eve with her family. She loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed gardening and she was very artistic and creative in writing poetry.
She is survived by her sister and brother in-law Mary Ann and Frank Carione of Hopewell Junction; her niece Stephanie Lazerus and her husband Andrew of Manhattan; her nephew John Carione of Boston, Mass.; and two great-nieces Maia and Tessa Lazerus.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peters Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie.
