Joseph Marano, 62, Of Red Hook

RED HOOK, N.Y. -- Joseph Marano, a resident of Red Hook, died Tuesday, May 17. He was 62.

Born Dec. 1, 1953, in Beacon, he was the son of the late Ronald and Emma (Pellerin) Marano.

He married Kathy Heiser and she survives at home in Red Hook. A very hard worker and a great provider for his family, he, along with his wife, are the owners and operators of Painting by Joe, a well-known painting contracting firm in the Hudson Valley.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his children, Dawn Marano of Lagrangeville, Joanne (William) Wasik of North Carolina, Jeremy Marano of Red Hook, Harry (Crystal) Pease of Rhinebeck, Renee Jones of Iowa, and Douglas Pease of Idaho; numerous grandchildren; his sisters, Sharon (Tom) Johnston of Long Island and Mary Clark of Tivoli; his twin brother, Donald (Barbara) Marano of Florida; and numerous extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his son, David "Bucky" Marano; and a brother-in-law, George Clark.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11 at First Baptist Church of Rhinebeck. The Rev. Thaddeus Dragula will officiate. Reception for family and friends will follow at the church hall.
