John I. Lashway, 85, Of Rhinebeck

RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- John I. Lashway, a resident of Rhinebeck, died Monday, Jan. 25. He was 85.

Lashway was employed by Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville, N.Y., as a correction officer, retiring in 1986 after 26 years of service. In his younger years he was a deputy sheriff in Schoharie County.

He is survived by his wife: Janet I.(Bissett) Lashway ; son and Daughter In-law, Tod And Sally Lashway of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughter and son In-law, Adrienne And Ben Burruby of Salt Point, N.Y.; and six grandcjildren.

Calling hours will be Friday, Jan. 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, at Pleasant Valley First Presbyterian Church Route 44, Pleasant Valley, N.Y. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
