Jenny Krevolin, 81, Of Rhinebeck

RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Jenny Krevolin, of Rhinebeck, died Thursday, Nov. 17. She was 81.

She was born June 16, 1935, in Bielsko-Byala, Poland, the daughter of Eugenia Feigenbaum Goldberg and Rudolph Goldberg. 

Along with her sister, Susan, and her mother, she fled Poland in 1939 in the wake of the Nazi occupation. After a journey that took her and her family through Trieste, Nice, Lisbon and Jamaica, she settled in New York City in 1942. She graduated from Bronx High School of Science and Alfred University. 

In addition to raising her three children and being active in the community, she was a social worker in Kingston and worked in the Poughkeepsie Comptroller's Office. She earned an MBA from Marist College and retired as a financial analyst for the New York City Department of Investigation.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis Krevolin; three children: Rudy Krevolin (Debbie), Ellie Krevolin and Benjamin Krevolin (John Sare); and grandchildren, Jessica, Sophia, Jonathan, Timothy and Dylan.

The family will have visiting hours at home from 2-6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in her memory be made either to Vassar Temple, Community Tzedakah Fund, Social Action, 140 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 or Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley, Mid-Hudson Refugee Welcome Fund.
