HYDE PARK, N.Y. – James Paul Paonessa, longtime resident of Hyde Park, died Monday, April 4. He was 82.
He was born Feb.17, 1934, to Frank Paonessa and Mary Lizzi of Wappingers Falls.
He was a lifetime member of The American Legion, The Elks Club, and the Shamrock Club, as well as Neighbor’s Gun Club. He retired from Arlington School District and was enjoying his retirement.
He is survived by brothers Tommy and Anthony; sister Fannie; children Kathy Robusto and husband, Frank of Rhinebeck N.Y., Vincent Paonessa and Kelly McPeck of Clinton Corners, Johnny Paonessa and Mary Carmelitano of Lake Katrine and Charlene Paonessa Williams and husband, David of Vista, Calif., eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Ruth Brammer Paonessa; brothers Dominic, Frankie, Johnny and Joe; sisters Mary, Anna, Teresa, and Rosie; sons Michael and Joseph; daughter Deborah and granddaughter Sarah (Beanie) Williams.
Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 218 Mill St., Poughkeepsie, handled the arrangements.
