James Donald Kilgour Jr., 86, Of Red Hook

RED HOOK, N.Y. -- James Donald Kilgour, Jr., of Red Hook, died Tuesday, Nov. 15. He was 86.

He was born June 18, 1930, in Kittanning, Pa., the son of the late James Donald Kilgour Sr. and the late Barbara (Schlegel) Kilgour. 

He married Shirley A. Doyle in 1953. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1951-55. He was awarded metals for Nation Defense Service and Good Conduct. He was later employed by IBM in Kingston as a production manager.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Kilgour; children, Daren Kilgour (Susan), Dana Kilgour (Teresa McGuirk), Shari Kilgour Juranic (Brian) and James D. Kilgour, III; grandchildren, Christy Juranic, Elyse Haile, Marisa Reyes (Francisco), Daren Kilgour (Holly) and Jessalyn Kilgour; great-grandchildren, Magdalene Haile, Marina, Marisol, Alex and Tony Reyes; and a brother, Glenn B. Kilgour.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert A. Kilgour.

Calling hours will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Eric Titus officiating. Burial will be private.
