RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- George Joseph Negri, a resident of Rhinebeck, died Thursday, Feb.11. He was 89.
Negri served in the Army during World War II and was awarded a commendation for outstanding service in Taegu, Korea. He received his bachelor's degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. He worked for McKesson Corp. in as a regional account manager for the New York area and later for the former Molloy Pharmacy in Hyde Park.
He is survived by his niece and nephews.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 10-11 a.m. at Sweet's Funeral Home Inc., Route 9, Hyde Park. A funeral service with military honors will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
