PLEASANT VALLEY, N.Y. -- Donald Robert Strain, of Pleasant Valley, died on Tuesday, Feb. 7. He was 76.
Born in Poughkeepsie on July 13, 1940, Strain was the son of the late Chalmer L. Strain and Mildred Richard Strain. He was Vice President of C.B. Strain and Sons until his retirement. He was a partner of Corlies Associates until its’ sale in 2014.
In addition to his wife Pamela, he is survived by his two children; T. Scott Strain, his wife Dr. Nancy S. Strain of Arvada, Colorado and their children Hunter and Teagan, Robert C. Strain and his wife Kori A. Strain of Horseshoe Bay, Texas.
Burial will take place on Monday, Feb.13 at 10 a.m. at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in Pleasant Valley or Tabernacle Christian Academy in Poughkeepsie.
