RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Anne M. Giles a resident of Rhinebeck, died Friday, Jan. 22. She was 86.
Giles worked as a college administrator for SUNY at Stony Brook. She was an active member of the Good Shepherd Church in Rhinebeck and also enjoyed attending The Church of the Messiah in Rhinebeck. She was also a former member of the Rhinebeck Choral Society.
She is survived by her children, William Giles of New York City, Mary Giles of New York, and Margaret Anne Giles of Boston.
She was predeceased by her husband William Giles, and her brother Phillip Dinkle.
A wake will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28, from 2 to 4 p.m.and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home in Rhinebeck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Jan, 29, at noon at Good Shepherd Church.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Rhinecliff. Memorial Contributions in her memory can be made to Rhinebeck at Home, P.O. Box 437, Rhinebeck, NY 12572, or to the Starr Library, 68 W. Market St., Rhinebeck, NY 12572.
