WEST POINT, N.Y. -- A court-martial began Wednesday for a U.S. Military Academy cadet from Ithaca accused of sexual assault, according to The Associated Press.
Lukas Saul, 23, is charged with engaging in inappropriate contact with another cadet without her consent in 2012. The three incidents allegedly occurred at West Point and elsewhere, and carry a maximum punishment of Army dismissal, forfeiture of pay and life imprisonment, according to The Associated Press.
Saul has been on administrative leave since August and reportedly did not graduate with his class, The Associated Press said.
