The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 60-year-old Dile George, who has moved to an apartment on Haight Avenue in Poughkeepsie.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned George as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, George was convicted of indecency with a minor after having sexual contact and intercourse with a 13-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl. He was arrested by the Texas Department of Public Safety's Sex Offender Registry in April 1994 and convicted later that year. He was sentenced to a term of 12 years in state prison and eight years probation. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Poughkeepsie Town Police Department.
