Route 9G Shut Down In Hyde Park Due To Crash

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Route 9G is completely shut down following a single-vehicle rollover crash near South Cross Road in Hyde Park, said state police.

The crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. at 1667 Route 9G, said Trooper A.J. Hicks.

The unidentified driver is trapped in the vehicle and police estimate the road will be closed for at least the next hour as rescue crews work to extricate the driver, he said.

Commuters are asked to avoid the area to allow for rescue vehicles, police said.
