RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Rhinebeck Supervisor Elizabeth Spinzia said complaints from residents about the number of power and utility poles in town have led her to ask for a meeting with Frontier Communications to try and fix the problem, according to Time Warner Cable News.

The problem occurred when Central Hudson Gas and Electric put up new poles to cut down on blackouts but did not move the cable lines to the new poles, leaving the old poles. Frontier has said that it only moves poles and lines if doing so will improve service. In this case, the company says it doesn't, said Time Warner Cable News.

Spinzia said she hopes to work with Frontier to solve the problem, added Time Warner Cable News.
