Power was shut down at a complex in the City of Poughkeepsie at the request of the city because of issues with customer-owned equipment at the Rip Van Winkel building, Central Hudson said early Monday evening.
"It is not a problem with anything to do with Central Hudson equipment – it is city-owned equipment that is experiencing electrical problems," Denise Doring VanBuren of Central Hudson said. "The fire department asked us to shut it off for safety reasons."
