Newburgh Man Hit By Car In Port Jervis

NORTHWEST DUTCHESS, N.Y. -- A Newburgh man is in the hospital with with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Port Jervis, according to TWCNews.com.

State polilce said Robert Sorenson, 21, was walking on State Route 209 around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, when he was hit by a car traveling southbound, said TWCNews.com.

Sorenson was taken to Bon Secours Hospital for treatment. At this time, the driver has not been charged, said TWCNews.com.

Witnesses are asked to contact the state police at 845-344-5300.
