deVries has worked at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management since 2011. In addition to providing financial planning services, he also offers a variety of other advisory and non-advisory financial services, including brokerage services.

The CFP designation identifies those individuals who have met the experience and ethical requirements, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP Certification exam covering the following areas: financial planning, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning.

A graduate of the FBI National Academy -- deVries who holds a Masters of public administration from Marist College and Bachelor of professional studies from Empire State College -- entered the financial services industry four years ago after retiring from a 26-year career in public service.

“The CFP designation is the gold standard in the financial services industry, and I am really pleased to have completed the requirements necessary to deliver the extremely high level of expertise that my current and future clients deserve,” stated deVries.

In addition to his work at Morgan Stanley, deVries is also a volunteer EMT for the Rhinebeck Fire Department rescue squad, volunteer with the Wyndham Mountain Ski Patrol, and active member of the Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce and National Ski Patrol.
