The heat will impact the area Sunday through Tuesday with real-feel temperatures reaching dangerous levels for several hours during the afternoons, according to AccuWeather.com.
Sunday's high temperature will climb to between 90 and 92 degrees and Monday's high could reach 93 degrees with sunny skies both days.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high around 90, and a chance of showers and thunderstorms as a cold front moves through, making for a more comfortable day Wednesday.
Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high in the mid to upper 70s.
An Air Quality Alert has been issued for 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday for Westchester and Rockland. It is not in effect for Putnam or Dutchess at this time.
