Dutchess residents Daily Voice spoke with expressed a sense of hope and optimism - showing support for the County Executive.

"I'm hoping to hear some of his vision," Town of Poughkeepsie Legislator Ken Roman said. "Some of the exciting programs he's instilled in the county, and some of the new ideas to make county government smarter and more efficient, like he's done in the past. I hope to hear him address the heroin epidemic here in Dutchess County... I'm keeping fingers crossed that he has some ideas on how the county can address this. I'm very hopeful that he will."

"I hope to hear that they have all sorts of surplus money and we're going to get a huge raise," Mary Daniels, of Wappingers Falls and a member of the local CSEA union that is seeking a contract, said.

"I hope to hear him talk about people with developmental disabilities, and how the county can work with the agencies in the community to support them," Sharon Russitano of Poughkeepsie said. "We're big fans of his."

In his address, Molinaro talked about those topics as well as many others. Read more about Molinaro's State of the County address here.
