Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Launches Donation Drive For Puerto Rico

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office is lending a hand to the people of Puerto Rico.

The sheriff's office, in conjunction with the Dutchess County Deputy Sherriff's PBA will be conducting a donation drive Saturday at 150 North Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Volunteers are needed to help sort and pack donated items. If interested in assisting contact Leslie Lugo at llugo@dutchessny.gov or Priscilla Aponte at  paponte@dutchessny.gov.

Items needed for donating include:

Cases of bottled water

Baby wipes

First Aid kits

Laundry detergents

Dish soap

Cots

Dry foods

Towels

Canned & dry pet food

Mosquito repellent

Blankets Hand sanitizer

Diapers

Canned foods

Garbage bags

Baby & adult pain relief medicine

Batteries Canned milk

Stomach & diarrhea relief medicine

Pillows
