DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A downed large tree and wires led to the closure of Route 376 at Entry Road in In Hopewell Junction early Sunday afternoon near the scene of two unrelated motor-vehicle accidents.
Several traffic lights in the area were not functioning, East Fishkill Police reported just after 12:30 p.m.
Motoris were reminded that all intersections are to be treated as all-way stops when lights are dead. Police patrols assisted with traffic until power was restored.
Nearby, a two-vehicle crash was reported just before 1 p.m. at Myers Corners Road and Old Myers Corners Road in Wappingers Falls.
A multi-vehicle crash with injuries on the southbound Taconic State Parkway was reported at 12:45 p.m. in East Fishkil near Milemarker 38.9.
