A Dutchess County resident has been appointed senior vice president of Engineering and System Operations for Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation.
Paul E. Haering of Pleasant Valley “has proven to be a highly capable and effective executive,” said Margarita Dilley, chairwoman of Central Hudson’s Board of Directors.
Haering will continue executive responsibility for electric and natural gas engineering functions including system planning and design, substation and hydroelectric plant operations, project management and System Operations, and will maintain oversight of the energy company’s annual capital budget of approximately $200 million.
“Paul has consistently demonstrated his leadership in meeting customer needs through improvements in the electric and natural gas systems,” said Michael L. Mosher, President and CEO of Central Hudson. “He is effective in implementing new investments that will help modernize the electric and natural gas systems serving our Mid-Hudson Valley communities to improve system efficiency, storm resilience and service reliability. We look forward to his many contributions in the years ahead.”
