Author To Discuss 'Dying In Dubai' Memoir At Red Hook Library

RED HOOK, N.Y. --  The author of December’s selection for the Afternoon Book Group at Red Hook Public Library will discuss her memoir on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Roselee Blooston will answer questions, share pictures and discuss her book, "Dying in Dubai: A Memoir of Marriage, Mourning and the Middle East."

The book is a "memoir of love, loss, reckoning, and renewal set against the backdrop of a Rodeo Drive-on-Mars desert city," according to a release about the book. 

Roselee’s husband became suddenly ill while working in Dubai. The story starts with her frantic rush overseas, followed by 15 days in a profoundly disorienting environment.

It continues over the next 13 months as she grapples with grief, unexpected revelations about her husband, and the struggle to remake her life.

This program is free and open to all.
