Sounds straightforward, right? But with a dizzying array of options – everything from old-school red sauce joints to modern takes on Grandma’s homemade cooking to trattorias with gourmet pizzas -- the answer can be hard to answer.

We asked for your favorites; three have been narrowed down as part of our contest and those finalists are being profiled this week.

Voting continues until 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.

Grab a fork, read on, and let your fingers do the clicking. The winner will receive a framed DVlicious certificate as well as the pride in knowing it offers a taste of Italy close to home.

Aroma Osteria, 114 Old Post Road, Wappingers Falls, (845)298-6790

What Makes It Pasta Perfect: The restaurant --with four dining rooms and an outdoor terrace -- has been in operation since 1997. It's owned by Dutchess residents Alex Kovacs, Kevin Campos and Sal Twal and is known for its authentic southern Italian menu. "Mother-style cooking, rustic cuisine," Kovacs told Daily Voice. "We have great food, great hospitality and great service."

Worth Special Mention: The restaurant makes some of its own pasta, as well as importing some select air-dried pasta from Naples. They earned an award for "Best Pasta in the Hudson Valley" from Hudson Valley Magazine in 2016.
