HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- It was a tight race but in the end, Joseph's in Hyde Park got the vote from Daily Voice readers -- at 56 percent -- crowning it the "Best Steakhouse in Dutchess County."
The restaurant’s history goes back to the 1930's when Eleanor Roosevelt used it as a tearoom where she entertained European royalty, including Britain’s Queen Elizabeth.
Today, however, it is known for its signature dry-aged in-house steaks including a 34-ounce Porterhouse for two. Go HERE for earlier Daily Voice story.
The restaurant will receive a DVlicious certificate as well as the pride in knowing it's a "cut above."
Joseph's is located at 728 Violet Ave., Hyde Park, (845) 473-2333; www.josephs-steakhouse.com/ .
