Hudson Valley Plays A Part In This Year's Oscars

ROCK TAVERN, N.Y. -- The Oscar statuettes that will be given out on Academy Awards night Feb. 28 were created by Polich Tallix Fine Art Foundry, based in Orange County, according to a report in USA Today.

This is the first year the trophies are being made in New York, reported USA Today.

The foundry's vice president will be at the Governor's Ball in Los Angeles on Oscar night to put the winners names on the trophies, said USA Today.
