“I found my calling was helping women in every stage of their lives,” said Smith, who lives in Stone Ridge and has nearly two decades of experience.

For the past two years, Smith worked as an independent, private practitioner with offices at Stone Ridge Healing Arts and Hudson Valley Midwifery, providing care for women’s gynecology needs with a holistic approach.

In 2001, she founded Woodstock Women’s Health, a multidisciplinary practice that she owned for eight years while she provided gynecological care to women of all ages.

Prior to starting the Woodstock practice, she was a midwife at the former Northern Dutchess OB/GYN Associates, also known as Women’s Care Center. She had privileges and delivered babies at the Neugarten Family Birth Center at Northern Dutchess Hospital.

She graduated in 1997 from the midwifery program at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn after studying nursing at New York University. She is a licensed midwife and has trained in a variety of massage therapies and healing methods of touch.
