Dutchess County has become quite the craft beer bar scene, stepping up its suds game and offering residents a host of “hoppy” options. We asked for the best in the county; you gave us your picks. Now, four finalists are competing in our “DVlicious Best Craft Beer Bar in Dutchess County” contest. Each has been profiled this week.
Raise your glass and drink in the following; then click on your favorite. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.
Voting ends 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24. The winner will receive a framed DVlicious certificate as well as the pride in knowing it has raised the bar in Dutchess.
Number of Craft Beers: At least 14 craft brews on tap that are regularly rotated, plus two craft ciders.
Why It's Liquid Gold: There's not only great beer here, The Hop's Dutchess based owners take care of details.
"We pay attention to the details," John Kelly, who owns The Hop with Chris Kavanaugh, told Daily Voice. "Everything from what beers we're serving - we have a curated selection - and a lot of thought goes into our food, and the atmosphere. We want to create a place where we'd want to hang out."
Among the most popular brewskis: Sloop - Confliction, Industrial Arts - State of the Art, Rushing Duck - War Elephant
Cheers to Beers: The Hop, 554 Main St., Beacon, www.thehopbeacon.com/
