WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- It’s impossible to live here and not have a bagel opinion. The New York area, as everyone knows, is the bagel capital of the world. And yes, it’s worth waiting in line on a Sunday morning to get one of these doughy wonders fresh out of the oven. Toasting, as a bagel purist knows, is not necessary when you buy the very best.

We asked for your favorites and now have three contestants in the running. Each is being profiled this week as part of our ongoing DVlicious contest. Here’s the lowdown on one who made the cut.
What Makes Them Bagelicious: You can actually watch the bakers work in this bright, clean and colorful café where the Wifi is free and 14 big bagels come in a baker’s dozen. Their Asiago cheese bagel has a nice, crunchy crust and its bialy bagel -- based on the traditional, Polish roll -- is baked with diced onion in its middle. They have about 30 different kinds of bagels and a dozen cream cheese flavors
Crazy Flavors : Customers say the spreads go above and beyond. Drawing praise on Yelp was the jalapeno cream cheese with just the right amount of spiciness and the tangy tuna salad with freshly chopped carrots and celery. Carnivores raved over the bacon in their bacon-cheddar cream cheese.
Reminder: The contest ends Monday, April 25 at 5 p.m. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.
