Albee -- whom The New York Times calls "one of America's most important and influential playwrights" -- died on Friday, Sept. 16, at the age of 88. The Westchester native won three Pulitzer Prizes for drama and a lifetime achievement Tony Award, among other honors.

"The Zoo Story" is "a game-changer that launched the Off Broadway movement when it premiered in 1960," the theater company notes. "It was also Tangent's very first pub reading in New York -- and in Tivoli -- as well as its first main-stage show in its Carpenter Shop Theater."

The performance will begin at 6 p.m., but the theater company advises getting there early, for the best seating. It also notes that the pub is a cash-only establishment. Traghaven is at 66 Broadway, in Tivoli.
