HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum and the Columbia-Mid Hudson Valley SAR Chapter of the Empire State Sons of the American Revolution will present "The Revolutionary War in the Hudson Valley" with Robert Ulrich Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Ulrich's hour-long talk is a photographic adventure. Topics include Lafayette's visit to -- and recuperation in -- Fishkill, as well as the Revolutionary War grave sites at the Giliad Cemetery in Carmel, the Old Albany Post Road, Washington/Von Steuben/Knox's Headquarters in the Newburgh area and the Cantonment in New Windsor.

Ulrich has degrees from both Cornell and Columbia universities. He joined IBM after completing two years as a captain in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. Presently his concentration is on the Dutch creating a working business society in America, the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War.

The free program will begin at 7p.m. in the Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home.

Please contact Cliff Laube at (845) 486-7745 or e-mail clifford.laube@nara.gov with questions about the event.
