“We are very excited about everything we are planning,” said Nicholas Shannon, executive director of The Chamber Foundation, Inc. “KidVenture is going to be an incredible event that will offer something for everyone.”
Held on May 20 and 21, the expo-style event will highlight local businesses and nonprofits while offering children of all ages the chance to enjoy interactive and educational activities. Festivities will include local celebrity appearances, street performers, a petting zoo, food trucks, a climbing wall, live music and much more. A full schedule of events can be found here.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for families to come out and discover everything the Hudson Valley has to offer, all while having fun and getting to know some of the businesses and organizations in our community,” said Shannon. “KidVenture is shaping up to be a signature event in the Hudson Valley.”
The weekend of adventure, discovery and learning will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 20 and 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival will be spread across downtown Poughkeepsie, spanning Market Street, the Mid-Hudson Civic Center and ChangePoint Theater.
All proceeds will benefit The Chamber Foundation, Inc. Discount tickets can be purchased here.
KidVenture is presented by Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp., IBM, ShopRite, and Westchester Medical Center Health Network.
