DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Chamber Foundation —the nonprofit fundraising arm of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce—is now accepting applications for its two fall scholarships for the 2017 academic year.

This past spring, The Chamber Foundation awarded nearly $55,000 in scholarships. To apply for either of the two scholarships available or for more information, candidates should visit chamberfdn.org/scholarships

All applications must be submitted online via the scholarship portal hosted by The Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley. Applicants should create a login ID and password and will then be able to access their application at any time. Applications will be accepted through Oct. 7

The two scholarships are the ATHENA Adult Scholarship and the Cosimo DiBrizzi Culinary Arts Scholarship.

The ATHENA Adult Scholarship was established by the chamber and The Chamber Foundation to encourage increased leadership roles for women. The scholarship is available to any female who lives, works or volunteers in Dutchess County, has been out of high school for at least five years and is pursuing education at an accredited New York State college, university or trade school or through an accredited online educational program while maintaining residency in Dutchess County.

The Cosimo DiBrizzi Culinary Arts Scholarship is available to any resident of the Mid-Hudson Valley who is pursuing an education at the Culinary Institute of America. The student must be accepted at the CIA and is planning to enroll within the next six months. The student must have residency in the Hudson Valley for at least five years.
